Supreme Beef Hotpot: Best Hotpot in Metro

Summer is fast-approaching and I bet everyone is excited to bond with their friends. One of the best things to do with friends is to eat together. Who doesn’t love food, right? There are a lot of places to eat and plenty of restaurants to choose from here in Manila. Hotpot is definitely a feast to try with friends and Supreme Beef Hotpot is the place to be.

Supreme Beef Hotpot is not your typical hotpot restaurant. Unlike other hotpot restaurants you’ve tried, Supreme Beef Hotpot serves different cuts of fresh quality beef. But cooking beef can be a little tricky because if you leave it in the broth for too long, the beef will be overcooked and can be a bit tough to eat. You shouldn’t leave the beef in the broth for over fifteen seconds. Tip: put the beef in the strainer and dip it in the broth for five seconds and then lift the strainer. Do that three times so you won’t overcook the beef. But worry no more because the staffs insist on cooking those delicious fresh beef for you. All you have to do is say “yes”.

Aside from beef, they also have pork and ox cuts. If you’re feeling a little adventurous with food, you can try the bone marrow, the ox’s tongue, exotic part and more. What’s shocking is they’re surprisingly good. The bone marrow is soft and creamy. The ox’s tongue and exotic part are chewy and yummy.

Another amazing thing about this hotpot restaurant is their broths. If you will get the regular broth and taste it, you’d think it’s tasteless. But if you cook the beef in it for a couple of times, the broth will become flavorful. Mind you, you didn’t add anything in the broth; you just cook the beef in it. *wink* They have three kinds of broths: the regular, the special satay, and the spicy. You can try two broths; you’ll just have to pay additional P150. Not bad, right?

Aside from their delicious beef and flavorful broths, I also love their sauce. They have this rolling cart with all the ingredients to make the sauce. They have their house sauce, fresh garlic, spring onions, chili sauce, soy sauce, etc. You can create your own sauce! Tip: Three teaspoons of their house sauce, Two teaspoons of garlic, One teaspoon of chili, and One teaspoon of spring onions. It’s a must try!

I can say that this restaurant is pretty generous when it comes to vegetables and side dishes. Because they have an abundant amount of veggies and side dishes that you can try with your hotpot. For appetizers, they have fish cracker, fried peanuts, steam egg, Tao Pao, Shredded potato, Fried Tofu, Pickled radish, pickled cucumber, Beef brisket, and scrambled egg. For veggies, they have Iceberg lettuce, Romaine lettuce, Baguio petchay, tagalog petchay, shanghai petchay, golden mushroom, corn, raddish, potato, bitter gourd (ampalaya), and white onion. For mix balls, they have crab ball, lobster ball, cheese ball, fish tofu, fish ball, squid ball, vegetable ball, mushroom ball, pork ball, beef ball, and pork taro ball.
It’s not just their hotpot that is good but their service and place as well. Their staffs are really nice and accommodating. You’ll see them smiling and greeting you before and after you enter the restaurant. I really love the ambiance of the restaurant. They used simple-but-pleasing-to-the-eyes wallpaper designs. They also have VIP Rooms where you can carry off your birthday, wedding, reunion, or any kind of celebration. It is indeed a good place to have a hotpot with your friends and satisfy your cravings.

My favorite beef cut is the fore shank because you will really taste the tenderness of the beef. I also love the thinly sliced Ox’s tongue. Mushroom ball and Cheese ball are my favorite mix balls. Mushroom ball is so good because it has small cut of mushrooms that tastes like chicken. Cheese ball is like a surprise ball because of the melted cheese inside when you eat it. Tip: before you eat the cheese ball, pierce a hole or cut it first so you won’t burn your tongue. Beef Brisket is also my favorite because it reminds me of “Adobo” but spicier. Everything is good—from the fresh meat, to veggies, to the side dishes. But I just personally love these.

So, what are you waiting for? Try Supreme Beef Hotpot now and taste their remarkable beef hotpot. Enjoy your summer with good friends eating good food because hotpot is best when shared with good friends.
